How to use & care
Using and caring for your Lixit Wide-Mouth Pet Water Bottle is straightforward, ensuring long-lasting performance and optimal hygiene for your pet. To install, simply fill the bottle with fresh water, ensuring the stainless steel tube is securely attached. Then, use the integrated wire hanger to mount the bottle firmly to the side of your pet’s cage at an appropriate height for easy access. For rabbits and guinea pigs, ensure the spout is low enough for them to comfortably reach without straining. Regularly check the water level and refill as needed, ideally daily, to ensure your pet always has access to fresh, clean water. The wide-mouth design makes refilling a breeze, preventing spills and splashes. Cleaning is equally simple. Disassemble the bottle by removing the stainless steel spout. Use a bottle brush and warm, soapy water to thoroughly clean the inside of the bottle, paying close attention to any corners or crevices where algae or residue might accumulate. Rinse all components thoroughly to remove any soap residue. Periodically, you might want to sanitize the bottle with a pet-safe disinfectant or a diluted vinegar solution to eliminate bacteria. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling to prevent mold growth. By following these simple usage and care instructions, your Lixit Wide-Mouth Pet Water Bottle will continue to provide a reliable and hygienic water source for your cherished pet for years to come. Proper maintenance not only extends the product’s lifespan but also safeguards your pet’s health by preventing the buildup of harmful bacteria.
